Week 2 on Weight Watchers

My second week is done on weight watchers and I'm down another -2.4 pounds making my total weight loss -8 pounds in 2 weeks! I'll definitely take it. I went to the gym 5 days this week. I even tried the spinning class and that was pretty intense, but I finished. I also ended up with huge bruises in my inner thighs from it. So now, it's on to week 3!

Week One on Weight Watchers

Technically tomorrow would be a week since I began WW, but I like to weigh in on Mondays, that way I'm less likely to cheat over the weekend! Anyways, after the first week I lost 5.4 pounds! I'm very excited about that and it's a great start! I've been doing good about keeping a journal and tracking what I've been eating. I've set a goal of 20 pounds. There's definitely more than 20 pounds to lose, but I want an attainable goal.

I have a 10 day pass for the gym a friend gave me, so yesterday I did a water aerobics class with the girls. That was fun and my arms were a lot more sore than I thought they would be! Tonight we're doing a spinning class!?!?! I'm nervous about that because I know it'll be intense, but I need to push myself, right? Anyways, so happy that I'm off to a great start and I will continue to update this blog weekly of my successes!

Time for Change

Well, I've finally decided it's time to lose this weight! I'm tired of being unhappy about myself and the way I look. Plus we wanna try for number 2 soon and I want to lose a little first.

I started WW yesterday and did my first workout tonight. I weighed myself since when I began and I'm already down (yes, I know it's probably water weight) but I will wait until Monday for the official weigh in cause you know how your weight can yo-yo through out the week. So I will update my blog on my weight loss sucess as I did on Myspace 2 years ago. I will need everyone's support!

Missing Home...

5 years ago I made the hardest decision of my life. I chose to move 12 hours away from home to further my career. When I first graduated from high school and decided to become a teacher, I never thought that that decision would take me away from my home.

Since moving, I've gotten married, bought a house, and had a son. Things change so much when you have a kid. Being away from home has always been hard, but its even harder now that I have Gavin. I hate that my family only sees him twice a year. I wish we could go home more than that, but its to expensive.

Sometimes I think about going back to school and getting a different degree that jobs are easier to get. Lately, this has been on my mind a lot. Maybe someday I'll go home to my roots, where I belong.
