The end of my 5th Year

It's hard to believe that 5 years ago I became a teacher. Its seems like I just started teaching. This year has definitely had its ups and downs. I taught 2nd grade for the first time after teaching 5th for 4 years. I thought that I would love 2nd, but honestly I miss the upper grades. Don't get me wrong, 2nd graders are fun and still love their teacher, but they also love to tattle, worry about who is first in line, and have a question about their work 5 seconds after they start.

I know I'm use to the independence of 5th graders, but this year has been a challenge for me. Next year I'm suppose to be teaching 3rd grade. I honestly think I will like 3rd. The kids will be young enough where they still love you, but mature where they don't worry about being first in line and throwing crying fits.

Anyways, 3.5 more days of teaching and then 10 weeks of fun with Gavin! I can't wait to spend the summer with him, playing outside and doing crafts! Ahhhh....summer! So happy you're here!!!
